Independent Strings Jam Room at Drifter Coffee: A Community Milestone

Last Friday, September 20th, from 5 to 7 PM, we had the pleasure of hosting an unforgettable jam session at Drifter Coffee. The turnout was fantastic, with a bunch of Jam Room members coming together for an evening of music and connection.

One thing that became clear during the event was how the Jam Room has become a gateway for people to feel prepared and confident to join jam sessions around the community. By regularly playing in a comfortable, supportive environment, our members have lowered the barriers that often come with performing in public. Many people expressed that knowing fellow Jam Room members would be there made it feel more like a fun field trip than a performance. The sense of camaraderie and excitement was palpable!

This experience has solidified our sense of community, and we’re excited to continue expanding. Our plan now is to take these jam sessions to new venues across the area, spreading the joy we’ve cultivated together. Drifter Coffee was an amazing host, and we’re eager to bring our music to other unique spots in town.
